A new bag is born

For some women, going out into the world every day requires putting on their version of protective ‘armour’. For some, it may be a full face of make-up; for others, it’s sky-high heels or a killer outfit. And then, of course, there are those who use humour and wit as weapons in their daily battles. To me, all modern women are amazing warriors and I was inspired by this when I conceived one of my latest creations, the Templari Bag.

While contemplating the myths and legends surrounding the Knights Templar one day, I started playing around with silver studs to form a structured piece of ‘armour’ that could cover my newest bucket bag design. As protectors of the Holy Grail, with a devotion to the divine feminine (the Virgin Mary), the Knights represent a certain type of fierceness to me. I wanted to transmit that passion for protection into my design, but give it a feminine, BB twist. To create something empowering and beautiful at the same time.

And so, I designed my metallic studs to be made in the shape of a very subtle flower. From a distance, it looks like a protective metallic sheath but up close, it reveals itself to be a beautiful flower chain reminiscent of the 1970s. It’s the ultimate in flower power. The Templari Bag is a piece designed for all the modern spiritual girls, for all the lightworkers, for all the lovers. For all the BB girls out there who continue to inspire me on my journey.

As a lightworker myself, I am comfortable with who I am – I don’t need to shield myself from the world any more. Yes, I love fashion and my day to day work is designing and conceiving beauty, but I also love people and through my work (and in my life) I try to reach as many people as I can. I do my best to raise the vibration of the planet and I try to shine brightly, live consciously and spread love and light wherever I go.

The idea of lightness played on my mind a lot while I was creating this bag. First of all, the light of Ibiza is constantly a source of inspiration to me, and secondly, I was seeking a lightness of being. Working with studs is not easy – it took me almost a year to finally create the right type of studs I felt were not too heavy to embellish the bag. I believe a BB bag should never weigh you down. Above all, it should give you a sense of freedom.

Whoever you are, wherever you are, whatever your choice of ‘armour’, I want you to know… you are enough. You are perfect, just the way you are. But a Templari Bag over the shoulder never hurt anyone!
