An unconventional Christmas

Happy holidays

I’ve always liked to break away from tradition and Christmas is no exception. In the past, I’ve travelled a lot over the festive season but now that my daughter Mia is a little older, I feel it’s time to stay in one place and spend the holidays with her. But that doesn’t mean we have to do it the traditional way!

This Christmas, Mia and I will be at home in Verona and it is just going to be the two of us for our very own unconventional Christmas – intimate mummy and daughter time. I am dedicating the entire holiday season to my little girl and we’re going to stay in together, cook dinner together and have good old fashioned quality time together, creating memories to last a lifetime.

Although we’re not conforming to a classic or conventional Christmas, I must admit we have just finished decorating our house with a Christmas tree and lights. We did it because Mia really wanted to – she’s more traditional than me in that sense. Personally, I would have been happy with a Christmas cactus!

At the same time, I don’t want Mia’s Christmas experience to be overly commercial. So, while we’ll be opening our gifts and cooking a nice dinner together on December 24, the biggest gift I’m going to give my daughter this year is love. In fact, love is something I’m gifting to all my BB girls around the world (and if you’re reading this, that means you too!). You can never have too much love.

Speaking of love, at the moment, it seems like all my BB girls are in love – and we love seeing our girls in love! Whether it’s an engagement, a pregnancy or a blossoming relationship, it seems like a blessing whenever my bags arrive in their homes – they are full of so much happiness. Let’s hope all the love that I’ve spread around through my bags throughout the year comes back to me this Christmas, because I am definitely ready to be in love again.

But first, I’m switching off for the holidays. No phones, no social media, nothing but me and my Mia… my little BIG love. Merry Christmas!
